The Garden Technician is responsible for creating a weed free, neat, tidy garden and site clean up.
1) Chemical free hand weeding with focus on removal of roots with attached weeds.
2) Deadheading spent blooms.
3) Pruning lower level dead branches on shrubs and bushes as well as removing cross branches.
4) Showcasing gardens.
5) Hedge trimming.
6) Unloading topsoil.
7) Applying pre-emergent weed deterrents.
8) Removing existing gardens and individual plants and bushes.
9) Planting new gardens.
10) Using spades, hand pruners, flower snippers, shears, loppers, shovels, rakes, hedge trimmers, blowers and other garden related tools.
11) Installing soaker/drip hose systems.
12) General seasonal yard clean up of leaves, branches and debris.
13) Loading garden debris into contractor bags or trailer.
14) Assisting with offload of debris at dump sites.
15) Watering.
16) Use blower for driveway and sidewalk clean up.
17) Tracking and reporting arrival and departure times.
18) Submitting timesheets.
QUALIFICATIONS
1) Must possess a United States Social Security Number, a State Issued photo ID and be a citizen of the United States.

- My home had a gravel driveway that was 3 cars wide by 100 feet long! It was a rental for quite a few years and when I returned to Maryland it was a weed driveway! Tiny weeds, big weeds, crazy weeds...unlike this pretty picture! Not satisfied with the look of brown, dead clumps in the driveway for weeks after a dose of RoundUp, only to have them pop right back up a few weeks later, I committed my warrior hands to manually remove all those weeds! My neighbor, seeing me in the driveway for hours on end, started calling me the "Weed Warrior" and she even made me a t-shirt. My daughter would chide me..."mom, you would do fine in prison!" Friends driving by beeped the horn to spur me on! I have to admit there is pride in hard work and a job well done! I had the best looking driveway in town. So when I decided to start the business in July 2023, I had to think of a name. Garden Warrior... it just seemed like it was the perfect fit!
